It is based in the knowledge that a "universal life force energy" flows through all living things, and when this energy is low or trapped, we are more likely to feel stressed or become ill. Reiki practitioners and energy healers channel this energy to promote healing and relaxation in the client.

Energy healing, in a broader sense, encompasses various practices that direct the universal life force energy’s flow within a person's body to improve their physical, emotional, and mental well-being. These practices can include techniques such as reiki, chakra balancing, healing touch, crystal healing and more.
